Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Two Stars

Sally Hansen Salon Effects is meant for you to put designs on your nails, no dry time, easy, simple, lasts ten days, easily removed with nail polish remover.

Wrong
Well most of it.

I got this for easter and thought it would be really cute.

Well it's not worth the money I spent, sure it's most definitely easier than painting but I won't buy it again.

You have to choose the strip that best fits your nail and stick it on. None of the stripes fit that well so it ended up running off onto my skin, which would not file off. It left me with designs not covering the whole nail and some going onto my skin.

Another issue was the bubbles that it created you are given a stick to push the bubbles out but I was still left with a few bubbles and creases.

It also kept peeling off and chipping within days of applying it. I also chose the one with birds on it but because of it's metallic color and pastel colors it was hard to tell they were birds and they looked more like confetti blobs.

I tried taking it off and it took a lot of scrubbing with nail polish remover to even begin to take it off so I gave up and decided to wait for it to chip.

Upsides:

None the less I got many compliments on people who weren't looking to closely. Some people even thought I did it myself (not sure if that's good or bad.) It's better than I can do, and it does stay true with having no dry time :)

Until Next Time
Kathryn
