Summer is here! For me that means, cleaning, surfing the web, swimming, staying up late, sleeping in, popsicles, ice tea, and summer camp!
I'm already doing two camps this summer one for theater and performing, where we will perform Alice in Wonderland, which (next to Grease) is my favorite musical. I'm one of the youngest in the class, but I'm hoping for a good part (perferably, white rabbit, little alice, caterpillar, cheshire cat, singing flowers, tweedle dee or tweedle dum. (Yes I have a lot of choices.) I'm so excited it starts in a week!
The other camp is a show choir camp hosted by the local High School, I love show choir and I made Varsity show choir at my school for next year and we are going to California! (That's another story) Anyways, I thought I'd get some summer practice in before the school year starts.
I thought since I'm doing two why not do one more? So I signed up for Camp Nanowrimo a virtural writing camp hosted by http://nanowrimo.org. It's just like Nanowrimo in November where you attempt to write 50,000 words in a month. I've tried Nanowrimo in the past, but could never do it due to homework and school. But since it's summer I thought I'd give it one more chance.
Fingers crossed I am succesful. My story is called Where The Lines Overlap.
Based on the song by Paramore this story follows many people from different walks of life, ranging from a young dyslexic girl and her flakey mother, to a rich family with dark secrets, and a quirky young women who's not afraid to be different. And when their paths cross it will change their lives forever.
Eh? Eh? Eh? Here's the cover, don't ask about the butterfly.
The song is really good and I recommend listening to it here.
